| What is the garden room built from? |
|
| Our blueprint for construction is a consistent one that we have honed to exploit leading edge technology, environmentally considered materials as well as architect designed buildings |

Foundation system either concrete slab or pad
|
|
|
|
Walls are factory engineered Structurally Insulated Panels with their super insulation properties (new housing standards) |
|
|
|
Roof covering as standard a space age product EPDM with its 25-year product guarantee or roof tile if pitched |
|
|
|
Joinery some designs have powdered coated aluminium as windows and doors with others uPVC. Although switching between materials is not a problem |
|
|
|
Cladding default is Western Red Cedar but we support a variety of FSC sourced materials - Douglas Fir for example. Although both brick and render are options too. |

|
Lighting is low energy LED with power sockets, finished in either ivory or chrome |

|
|
Finishes, walls and ceilings are plastered and decorated. Floors are laminate for longevity. |
|

| We have a number of optional extras too. Some people would rather have hardwood flooring, or wooden doors and windows, or a air conditioning unit for summer temperature control. With garden offices particularly, visiting Ikea for a desk is a hassle for some customers so we have a meticulous joiner who puts together bespoke furniture to the exact specification of our clients. |

| Garden Living has a range of garden rooms available in a selection of sizes, in traditional and contemporary styles. We know, however, that everyone’s needs, likes and gardens are different, so we are always happy to design your bespoke garden room at no extra cost, including all the little extras that make your ideal.

| Planning Permission - The good news |
|
|
| The good news is that your garden room is highly unlikely to need planning permission. On the rare occasion it may be required, in the grounds of a listed building for example, Garden Living can manage the process for you. |

| What happens? |
|
|
Design: We work closely with you to establish the requirements of your garden room. If these fall within the scope of one of our existing products great; if none of our styles matches exactly what you’re looking for then we are happy to design something just for you. |
|
|
|
Planning and Building Regulations: In the unlikely event that your garden room does require planning permission, Garden Living can manage the application process for you. |
|
|
|
Factory Fabrication: The garden room is now fabricated whereby the building is precision engineered in a controlled environment. At the same time Garden Living are co-ordinating all elements of the garden office, so the construction phase moves efficiently. |
|
|
|
Building: The construction of a garden room takes an average of 2 weeks. We work to a tight work programme to ensure your garden room is built as quickly and as smoothly as possible, reducing any impact on your house and garden. |

| At Garden Living we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service. We are always happy to help, by giving advice and answering your queries.We realise that building an office in the garden can seem to be a daunting prospect. |

We are happy to manage every aspect of the process, from working closely with you to create the perfect design, to making sure there is always a Project Manager onsite during construction, to liaise with you, make certain everything goes smoothly and to ensure the minimum of disruption to the family home and garden. And of course we can landscape your garden as well. |
